I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m still afraid of the dark. These late night bathroom visits, early morning snacks, and just plain pregnancy insomnia are really making that nighttime darkness extra dark. I’m also not ashamed to say we have multiple night lights scattered throughout the house because of that. Well, that and to help my blurry-visioned self avoid any toy landmines or booby-trapped dresser drawers that are pulled out as far as they’ll possibly go. So, basically it’s a safety concern to have Motion LED Lights, instead of just having them because I’m frozen with fear in my bed without a little light to brighten up the joint.
Thankfully, I’ve teamed up with Jasco to share how we use GE Motion-Activated LED Night Lights our home. Recently, it’s been so handy to have them for my 1AM-3AM laundry ritual and my early morning cup of tea to keep my eyes peeled and alert for photo editing. This week I had a little early rising helper to sort the dirty laundry. And by sort, I mean take out all the whites, dump them on the floor, and then put them back in the laundry hamper. REPEAT.
These night lights were so simple to install. I just popped them out of their packaging and plugged them straight in the outlet. The packaging tells you just how bright that Motion LED Light is on a scale from Guide – Standard – Bright – Very Bright. And it even recommends which space in your home that it would light perfectly. I chose to put a Very Bright light in our kitchen tea/coffee station and another at the bottom of the stairs in route to the laundry room (aka the bane of my existence – but at least I’ll have a well lit path during the journey. Especially since our basement is under renovation and has been giving me the creeps to go down alone. Thankfully we’re in the painting phase. HELLO, BLUE TAPE E’ERYWHERE.) That bad boy can see me coming from a mile away, just kidding. Don’t quote me on that. Mostly because “a mile away” is false advertising. BUT, it does have a motion sensor that will reach up to 25 feet, which is all I need to get me down to the wash and back. Safely. Unscathed by the darkness. The impeding darkness that comes with the changing season. Can you believe the sunsets at 5:15 PM in November?! Excuse me, but I’m still trying to figure out what the heck I’m making for dinner at that time. I’m not trying to do that by moonlight. But, an LED light will do juuuust perfectly. #LightUpFall
