Since welcoming Isla into our lives almost a year ago (holy crow, the kid is going to be one in a month), we’ve been challenging ourselves with living more minimally and pairing down our lives to only the essentials. Which is great, until you realize that getting rid of your stuff and adding in baby’s things pretty much just meets in the middle. So here we are, 11 months later with a construction zone of a basement and the two other bedrooms (may they rest in peace), thanks to that flood that was waiting for us the night we brought Isla home… yay adulthood! And, by “construction zone” I mean bachelor pad/studio apartment living with a babe. We’ve had to get creative with our storage space without cluttering our lives.
That’s where Walker Edison Furniture swooped in and saved the day. Having a TV console that doubles as Isla’s dresser and changing station has been a heaven sent. It’s eliminated the need for umpteen plastic bins scattered through the house and allows us to retain a sense of home without disrupting our day to day. Not to mention it’s mid century. Man, how those little skinny legs get me every time!
